Red weed flowers mixed media

The birds brought these weed perrenials to front of my house. Their flowers are beautiful. So I dare not to remove them. Today, I toned the ground of my old watercolor page, then did some oil pastels on it. It was not wise to do OP on rough wc paper... but I am glad I did it. I ended with a few more dabs of wc.... about 6x8 inch.... Thanks for looking.

I think you got the oil pastels to work well for you on the rough paper, and I really like the way they play against the watercolour - fun combination!
