Recent art that you liked

I haven’t seen those abstracts. That’s quite a description. Lol I’ll post a picture of where that link goes here so people see it. I prefer his other work.

So he definitely sounds like an artist that explores different ways of making art. Which is fine. This is what his description is. And I was mistakened when I said he is on Instagram. He’s on Facebook. Something I do not see under his photos of his artwork which he selling as prints, is exactly how the pieces were made originally. But then again these days, people are combining many different ways to create art. I like the exploring to try to get a look that he wants. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. I mean some art can leave a person cold, which some of his abstracts do for me. But on his Facebook, you can really see how he’s progressed over the years and tried different styles. I like that. Some are more successful than others. It is a matter of taste which style people prefer. If at all.

And this. He doesn’t sound like he’s using AI as I understand it. It’s not a computer program spitting out art. I think he is creating art using a computer though as far as manipulation, combining methods ( oil and watercolour), or creating works himself and combining them digitally. If you know what I mean. What a lot of artists do. Especially younger artists. I have to say there’s just a lot of art that he’s created that I really enjoy. However he’s done it.

Hi Paintboss, I think his work could be called mixed media. He certainly seems to be pretty prolific, with a variety of styles.

Oh, those are lovely!
Regarding Jef Bourgeau, I definitely think it he is mixed media. I just don’t know why he doesn’t say so when he’s advertising his work and prints.

I really like Per Adolfsen as well especially when water is involved.
Re: Bourgeau, yes it is odd.

I went to LA this past weekend with my husband. One of the places we visited was the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens. 130 acres of the gardens are open to the public, and were really lovely to walk through. Near the rose gardens, there was a building for European art. The collection included works by Goya and Van Dyck, which were cool to see.
We went to walk across a balcony inside, and upon stepping out, these two tapestries caught my eye. They were hanging on the wall across from the balcony.

They were made by Raquib Shaw. I spent quite a bit of time examining them, as there's so much to see in each one. I forget the names of them unfortunately...
Lovely pieces though. I quite like them. :)

They are certainly appalling. Great find!

Didn't know of those gardens, which seem amazing. Thanks for the heads up!
