Progress on a project ... Great Barrier Reef

I'm working on what could be a large project with a focus on care of The Great Barrier Reef. At the moment, I'm thinking about a card set. I'm going for a little bit of humour ... maybe iron fist in velvet glove idea. Some concepts. Straight from the sketchbook. Pencil and pen.

Looking for seascapes. A4 acrylic on paper. Thick paint. Squished. Textured with homemade moulds, mostly cardboard. Note: snake skin in last image, is not part of my explorations. Just showing grandies how long it WAS.

Thanks Ayen. We live near the Barrier Reef, it's something important to me. Very symbolic for me. I hope to get them a bit 'better'. Today's effort, based on a mini seahorse found on the reef. Problem is they're cute, pink and have bubbles. I'm not after cute. So more versions to come.
