It was purely an image trouvé, with no intervention from me. It was on an eroded succession of posters glued onto a GEB (an electricity and gas supply company) doorway.

I was a callow youth at the time, but knew enough to be reminded of Kurt Schwitters when I saw it on an experience-seeking walk in Amsterdam.
