Paul in oils

You may remember Paul from my previous posts in the Drawing and Watermedia forums. Based on these works and a photograph I took during the modelling session I now tried to immortalize him in oil paint on canvasboard sized 30 * 40 cm.

I responded to this a couple of days ago, saying how much I liked this piece. The lights and shadows, planes, color variations, lost edges, all of it. I think the eyes and spectacles are especially well done.
