I wrote a lot of letters to a lot of people in the day....here are some of the replies...

The first one is my favorite. I am so curious what you wrote them (but it might be at least as much fun to keep it a mystery...)

Yep, I don't remember what I said in the letter to Chris at Capital Radio.
It worked though...

and..... my 2023 'success' replies from UK TV personalities, now framed and looking for a toilet to hang in.

Drew Pritchard - specialist in antiques
Graeme Hall - dog trainer

A singer in one of my bands, way back, worked at the Barbican, central London.
He sent me a poster, for no reason, which I have kept. It is a promotional poster print for a Bridget Riley exhibition at the Hayward Gallery, 1992.

It is very challenging on the eye and as such, I have never framed it.
A London auctioneer house has shown interest in it. I am Debating whether to let it go for sale or to hang onto it.

In 1991, I wrote a letter to Frank Zappa saying I was concerned that, all his tapes could 'end up in the dirt' if LA was to have a major earthquake.
I got this in reply not long after. Hand written address, maybe even by Gail Zappa herself? Anyway, it is a list of scores and albums available to buy, which...is quite a clever response to be fair.
