I made this for the Children's Jewish Museum in Los Angeles. Learn, mixed media on panel, 24 x 24 inches. Not the greatest photo, sorry.

I know it's kid stuff but I really like the clock .. very good use of shapes

Thanks Wayne. I took the clock apart and reconfigured it to make the the character inside. I also covered the outside in garment patterns and glazed it over.

I could see your handy work inside the clock and that was the attraction. Simple shapes, simple character, simply cool.

The clock looks like an Art Deco piece of jadeite.

One correction: the last Hebrew letter you put there is ר (that’s an R.....). You should put there ד (a D....)

Thank you guys. I think the outside of the clock was originally brown Bakelite.

Uh oh. Too late! The museum already has it somewhere in their collection. Maybe one day I'll ask them if I can fix it. Thanks for the correction. I really appreciate it.
