I painted this on paper.. I think it’ll help me when I switch to canvas rolls I bought a few months back.. but who knows.. I painted my previous 10 48x36 paintings on mounted canvases.. I’m doing different sizes I have to cut myself now.. this is probably 10”x8” sorry I’m not sure - it was made in a sketch book! Wanted to add excitement in this.. used darker colors I might not use on a large canvas.

Jackson Volcano is an extinct volcano under Jackson, MS.

This reminds me of a steel factory. You might want to check out Franz Klein. His black abstracts are influenced by where he grew up, in Bethlem, PA, near the steel factories.

There is definitely something hot going on under the surface. Very dramatic piece! I didn’t know about the Franz Klein/ steel mill connection so thanks for that, Ayin.

This one makes me say Wow! Very bold bright colors here. I agree with Donna that this one has a lot of drama. Well done!
