Desert Commission

Desert scenes seem to be popping up recently. I did this desert scene for my friend Linda Colvin (HarvestMoon) as a present for her friend. Linda has since passed away but the painting is always a reminder.
I found the forest of cacti so alien.

I absolutely LOVE this painting! But I am so sorry to hear of your friend. I'm so sorry for your loss and fully feel your pain. I've had a few great friends pass in recent years.

This is something I might paint, truthfully. I love it. It's a great piece.

Beautiful painting. I also like the contrast between the shaded mountain ridge and the sun lit one.
And the bear next to the bear sign brings in a fun factor.
