I'm clear that they provide a framework for presenting paintings, but not clear if this is a print on demand site or just a display mechanism you can use to sell originals, for example.

It appears to be an artist gallery/website builder designed specifically for artists, with a free version (.canvi extension) but also a paid version with a either a .com or .art extension. It includes sales. This page explains things fairly well: https://canvy.com/pricing
