As the sister and legal guardian of a special needs sister, I found this article very interesting.

I believe they x-rayed some of JS's work to see what was deposited within the layers and found she had "acquired" various objects. I believe a wedding ring was one such item . One of the volunteers at Creative Growth had no doubt taken the ring off while washing some medium from their hands...

The artist and the criminal are closely aligned, at least in the eyes of the society.
