Animal And Wildlife Challenge Oct/Nov 2025

Just wanted to say you're doing great Joy. We all have different paces and varieties of things to do, or not. I do a lot of drawing and crochet currently because it helps with my fibromyalgia and is a good distraction when I can't do as much "outside" stuff due to low energy levels. Your work is lovely. Don't beat yourself up .. it never helps (I know 😅!).❤️

Grapes, wonderful woodpecker. Great values in this one.
Jade, your horse shows the action of him running very fast, well done. Your woodpecker is great on the tinted paper.
Joy, wow with colour and action. Love the ground beaten by the hooves.
Anne, your elephant is really cute and well done to boot!
Wayne, great action and values in this painting.

Well, it’s a grey cat. It looks more like our daughter’s cat than the reference. The eyes are too far apart but it was fun to do. Tinted grey paper with pan pastel and pastel pencil. I erased the darks to create highlights.

Wayne, your horse is wonderful. There is so much energy and life here. Well done!

Sanlynn, your gray cat is outstanding. I love how you got the softness of the fur with the pastels. Nothing else works quite as well. I also love the shine on the eye and crisp detail against the soft fur.

I agree with Grapes, I wouldn't have noticed the eyes, Sanlynn I love this kitty 🐈 beautifully done 👏👏👏 and I like how you explained about erasing to create highlights.

Wayne - Your horse is fabulous. You've captured the action very well .
Cheers.
Patricia

Sanlynn - Your cat is just lovely. I especially like her eyes.
Cheers.
Patricia

Sandra, this is lovely, especially the glassy eyes. I don't know how I missed this. It seems as if I do not get notifications at times from the threads which I am following.
