These are fantastical art objects in and of themselves. I know photography is the art, but I was wondering about the objects themselves. I take it they don't look anything like this on their own, correct?

Yes, I use odd shapes and angle, no simple plates or wine glasses here..

These are beautiful. Psychedelic is the right word! Have you experimented with Perspex and other types of plastic objects between polarizing sheets? Another area to explore would be fluorescent objects under ultraviolet light.
