This is one of three aerial paintings I've been working on. This is the smallest one at 16 x 20 inches. It's oil on canvas.

I saw the beginning stages of this in another thread and thought it was such a cool concept for a painting! I love the bird's eye view and the confetti colors of the rooftops. The texture of the roads is also very interesting. It reminds me of a circuit board and also how very, very small we humans are!

I really like this! I love how all the buildings are so bright. I find myself trying to visualise it from street level. :)

I love this! Can't wait to see the whole series and the various sizes and layouts. ❤ It's a great idea!

Cool idea Ayin. I like the chunkiness of the terrain.

I would like to try something like this showing my house and neighborhood. Maybe use acrylics to really build up and get a 3d terrain and houses.

I can see something like this being good for commissions. People would like to see this perspective.

I have done a few commissions with actual maps from Thomas Bros Guide map pages that show where the person actually lives. I did one for a child's room and another for a family member. Here is the child's room one:

Ah ha! Great minds think alike. Or at least average ones follow the great ones. :)

Love these, the first is so pretty, very cool the way you've painted it. The child's room commision is delightful

I find this very engaging. Apt title as the color makes it feel like light from above. The relief in the paint is appealing. A cool twist on Cartographic abstraction.
