to paint her favourite scene. She spent her teenage years in our small seaside town and now lives with her husband and kids 4 hours away. She asked for a view of Gulaga- Mother Mountain to our local indigenous people. She specifically wanted it to be long and narrow with the timber edge of the panel showing. It now hangs above her bed.
Oil on panels (2 joined together) 40cm x 100cm (16 x 40 inches)

Bethany, that is splendid!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
What a gorgeous place. Boy you did a good job on that. I know she will cherish that not just for the memories, but because Mom painted that.💜

Thanks so much, Christine- so kind of you to say that!
Donna- I appreciate this generous comment! I got up early to take the photos- the sun was hitting the mountain just right. I wasn't sure about the panel showing- but that's what she wanted.
Thank you, Wayne- appreciate the comment.

Thank you for the kind words, Ayin! We do have some incredible blues in the water here. When the temperature of the waters warm up they go turquoise.

Thanks for stopping by, Sno- much appreciated! She has it hanging above their bed- a reminder of where she grew up.

Bethany, this is spectacular looking landscape. Also large 1 meter wide. 👏 Very special gift for your daughter. How does/did she hang it?

Thanks so much for the kind words, Grapes! This view is in my tiny seaside village- how lucky am I to live here?
Because they are cradled panels that I glued and screwed together to make the large painting- I just screwed d-rings to the back and then added plastic coated wire for hanging. Here it is in situ..

Thank you, Anne!

This painting looks great on the wall. Your daughter has good eye and I like the unpainted border, works kind of like a frame. Thanks for the hanging info, l often struggle with these things.

Bethany, you live in this seaside village!! 😲 You certainly are lucky! 👌
I hope to see more views from your village. I was already looking for in this forum but couldn't (yet) find more.

Thank you for sharing the painting with us and the story that follows along this piece.
