A little different for me.

I've been working on this for about a year. Working from tones, to hues to colours. I got a book šŸ¤£. Not not liking it yet. Another from the Marina area near where I live in Central Queensland. For the other Aussies, Agnes Water / 1770. The whispy clouds will probably go. They were there but not doing it for me now.

I do like it !! I even like the whispy clouds. I'm myself working on a seascape s little bit similar to yours and it has birds like yours does and I am struggling with the birds. I don't like mine but I do like yours. Colors are beautiful. Composition is good.

Thanks. Funny, I looked at the birds for ages before I decided not to paint over them.

Just saw 'tones',would 'values' be a better choice?

I like it! It does seem different from your usual style, it's very figurative. Love your bright colors, too.

If you're referring to the brightness, or how light or dark your colors are, I think either term is correct.

In photography, especially B&W photography, we refer to a tonal range, meaning a scale from white to black with lots of ranges of gray in between.

Anyway. I think it's delightful! :)

Thanks Terri, some casual descriptions are hard to give away.
