Young grandma

Hi folks, again, sorry to flood the thread. I was in two minds posting AGAIN.
This is based on a photo of my grandma as a quite young woman. I wanted to try a "featureless" face as most I have attempted are wrinklies like myself. The photo is added as reference. I see some small things like jawline and shading issues..... Any inputs are welcome as I'm trying to improve.

Nicely done, Murray! How special for you to connect with your grandmother like this. Yeah, her jawline could be slimmed a tiny bit and maybe her forehead is a little too high but you have caught her expression perfectly so be careful with any tweaks. It looks to me like she was trying very hard not to break out into a big grin.

Well, it’s lovely. You know you have a real solid understanding of the eyes, nose and mouth and all relating to one another. Your colours making her look a little older because it makes her younger skin look ruddy. Now part of it’s a style you’re choosing to do. I think I would probably make the hair dark. You’ve chosen to wash out that area, maybe to try to pull attention to the features. I would lose the ruddiness of the face and go in on the darker contrasts and make her look younger. You can still work in beautiful colours in the skin and blush. But the strength of colour and the brush stroke matters. As it is right now, it works better for our older skin types. That’s my thoughts. Pretty lady.
