What are you up to?

Here in the southern hemisphere we've had the coldest frickin' winter ever, or at least it feels that way. We'll probably soon have our turn at the heat waves. Can't help with the neocolor gold, but perhaps it's best to switch to the Zorn palette - the fewer colors we have, the fewer that can get lost.

It's like the hemispheres are reversing...

Thought I'd share our lounge makeover (for £6!).

It was mostly ok but needed some finishing touches. We got a vase (£4) and picture (£2) in charity / thrift stores...

Painting collage papers last few days and started making small collages today. Water plants patio garden area weather is a bit cooler. Visitor cat is sleeping.

Haven't been painting at all in the last few weeks. I've had a lot of doctor visits (re-op appointments). I have one more before having an actual procedure on September 11th. But in the midst of all this, my brother, my only sibling, passed away very recently, so it's all been a very hard August.

That first picture was a great shot. A bird posing in a Paradise Birds hidden behind a Love tree (if I'm not mistaken), or is it a cactus?

And I love the composition and interplay of complementary colors in the third, that of the greenery with red flowers and a blue wall.
