Wanted to share a colored pencil piece that incorporates a paper cut frame very similar to my 'Red Fox Motif'. I'd been wanted to draw this trio of racoons tucked in a tree, no doubt waiting for mom to return with some food. The frame was inspired by a desire to combine a strong graphic element reminiscent of stained glass. Very happy to say that it sold during the opening night of "Public Hanging", an annual exhibition held at Gallery X in New Bedford.

Colored pencil!? I seriously thought I was looking at a stained glass work.
Calling this impressive would be an understatement...

Oh, look at these three! You just keep getting better and better at these, Rob. Congratulations on the sale! No surprise that it sold. Who wouldn't be smitten with this work of art? Outstanding and so beautifully rendered. A perfect blend of paper cutting "stained glass" aesthetic and realism in the colored pencil work. Truly incredible!
