View from Turkey Hill Road

Absolutely stunning scene, Patrick, and I like how you handled the foreground giving it a darker value.

Esther, Kay, Jane, thank you.
Kay, I layered the foreground at least five times. The Arches can handle that well. Although it seems difficult to lift color. Loose your brights and it’s gouache for me. I havent used any masking methods. Not concerned about being a purist.

As for lifting, a good method for me is to use a magic eraser. It was developed to clean walls and is at least here available in the most supermarkets.

I like both versions, but appreciate that your additional work adds some depth. It's really beautiful! I agree with Deborah that the drop in the road is a real standout. Well done!
