Nice work, Bart. The orange toned paper works great behind the trees and the line and wash piece feels light and airy.

Very nice work, Bart! I'm also a fan of this tinted paper. I think Canson Mi Teintes has some of the prettiest colors anywhere. When I was using oil pastels, I tried using this paper and found the textures tricky to overcome - soft pastels look nicer.

Looks like a beautiful day to paint - and a lovely area, too.

Terri, it was actually hard pastel. Canson does have nice colors, but I abandoned them in favor of PastelMat years ago. I was out without my usual kit, but had the Nupastel and Mi Teintes so went for it. Due to how cell cameras emphasize edges, the pic here exaggerates the texture appearance.
