It's eventually going to get two sandpipers walking along with long sunset shadows. Not that I'm stalling because I'm not sure I can paint sandpipers or nothing like that. :)

Lol i’m not stalling either! 😉 We both can do it. We have to stop staring at our work and go for it! It looks great so far it’s gonna look fabulous when it’s done.🙂

Me too. I think it is their openness: knowing they are unfinished leaves your imagination free to dream how it might end and that makes it more versatile, plus you'll imagine what you'd like, the finished work does not leave this room and may or may not match your taste.

I too like the look of unfinished work. I like the thought of the unfinished giving you pending, potential affinity (or not). That's pretty funny. :)

Love your beach John. You do water very well! ♥️

Here is my incomplete painting that I’ve been working on very hit and miss because it takes a lot of stamina to sit and paint this. It’s going through changes. Where I’m at today I have a few different directions I can go as far as background. Do I keep a little bit of the bush behind it or do I put water behind it with far off forest in the background? Anyways, here are some trees and rocks!🙂
Next, your choice.

I could say I love the person who gave me these roses 🌹 it's an oil painting sketch from life. Christine, "Hello" my girl friend! 👋 I was away for a while, just exhausted and quite stuck with painting but catching up the forum now.
I hope this painting qualifies for the subject.
