I’m struggling to do any new work! 🙂🙃
How about restarting again since we’re getting no bites.
Since it’s the Journalling and Sketchbook forum, I will post this. It doesn’t always have to be finished work. Paintings.
I laid flat on my stomach to draw this years ago. About 1996. Early 20s. This is a little garden statue I loved which I bought for our first house. The tulips were up. I was so excited to have a yard! Actual grass that I could lay on in the sun if I wanted to! In fact, that was the first thing I did when we got the keys. I was a girl off the farm and having to go to the city to go to school and live in apartments I felt pretty disconnected. I really missed land! She was placed in the flower bed up against an old shed. And I did struggle to lay on my stomach and draw on a pretty big sketch book.Lol
I tried some oil pastel, but did not like it on that paper at all. I just left it. But here’s the sketch anyways. I’m feeling spring in the air so I thought it might be appropriate.
Next, any sketch. Double points if it’s related to spring in any way!😀

This is still a work in progress. It's a portrait of my mother. Next your choice,
Cheers,
Patricia

I'm using winsor and newton griffin oil alkyd paints.

I've just shrunk the photo a bit -the first one was huge ! don't know why it's blurred.

What wonderful pieces you both have started. I’ve always had a sentimental piece in my mind of where I grew up. Which is a farmhouse and in snowy fields. The angle is not one that I have pictures for. Well, I had one years ago and I don’t know where that photo has gone-much to my dismay. But I may still do something yet. This encourages me.
