I'm in Krita 5 now, and I'm playing with the wet oil brushes. And smart canvas!

You can go to https://files.kde.org/krita/extras/ and get the wet oil brushes, called RGBA wet brushes and the Smart Canvas Templates.
The 'bundle' of brushes can be installed via Settings -> Manage Resource Libraries -> +Import, and the Smart Canvas Templates are working Krita documents, so you open them in Krita, go to the menu File -> Create Template From Image. For each one. I created a new folder for them.
The smart canvas templates are preloaded with layers that seem preconfigured. OMG. The explainer video is https://youtu.be/xpWmQ-OY36I
My mind is blown. (I just don't know why the oil brushes are all called RGBA.)

Wow, those look like actual brush strokes! Thanks for sharing your secrets 🤫

I installed Krita on an old 8" Android tablet, but it's mighty cramped. I'd love to work with it on a proper digital set-up.

(Your link didn't work)

It seems that RGBA is just the standard old familiar RGB with an alpha channel added to it. Alphas control the opacity of pixels and anyone using programs like ZBrush use them a lot. I'm guessing it will require the latest OpenGL on your PC for best performance.
