9 x 12 inches .. acrylic on paper .. alla prima .. painted 17/07/2025

The learning curve from oil to acrylic is not as drastic as I imagined .. it becomes a little more enjoyable as I progress .. still waiting for my heavy bodied paint so I am still painting with the cheap ass dollar store paint.

You are adapting to acrylics so well, Wayne. This is beautiful! I like how you created the illusion of a soft edge on the plum on the right. Was that sort of a dry brush thing? I hope your new paints arrive soon!

It works! Beautiful coloured plums and again I'm craving fruit! 🍑😄 The lighting on the plums too. 👌

Thank you Jade. A little more on the real side for learning reasons. Will wander more once I learn the medium.

I feel like I learn something useful every time you comment! I've been wondering how that journey works... 👍

Gorgeous! ♥️ Perhaps you should consider giving me acrylic painting lessons! I can't usually work with it.

Thank you Ayin.
Lesson one: sloppy and paint over paint over paint over paint with no adherence to a stroke is a stroke or painting inside the lines. Get ‘er done. 🤣 Seriously, I have no clue what I do as I just keep squeezing and applying paint. My knife is almost useless with acrylic. I only have 3 brushes .. one too small, and one too big, and one that works on most but not all. I ordered a set of about 2 dozen different shapes and sizes so that should allow me greater choice. Oh, and you don’t need lessons you need more of my wife’s attitude which is, I don’t give a rat’s ass, not important. 😅
