Ahhh, fun to see and read about your experiment and all the comments. I don't use acrylics much but found that white gesso is better to lighten colors than the white that comes with the paint, like to make light blue or pink. It is so transparent and looks chalky to me. I love your painting and happy to see you back in the saddle.

Thank you Sno. Definitely a new ball but it’s just a medium that behaves differently.
