Scavenger Hunt from Life #188: Apr 15- Apr 27

Joan -- The watercolor of your sketcher friends and East River bridge are great. You became a master of procreate too!

#1 calming ( for me, the sketcher on my way home the other day ). It was far away...

Ai, thanks for your comment.

Ned, thanks. Nice job capturing the architecture. Looks like a nice country ride.

At the dock in West Sayville.
8 - waterscape - watercolors and ink
9 - something with wheels

Joan - The blossoming trees seem yo yell Spring! Fun to see your fellow sketchers. Agree with Ai and Jo the shells do have that pearly glow. Well done. Your digital looks like one of your line snd wash paintings! Your sketch biddies make good models. Have to tell you the West Saybille painting made me laugh. I was expecting a dune grass painting with the Great South Bay in the background not paved road with cars. LOL
Ai - One thing I have learned about Thailand from you, besides having beautiful temples, is that the food always looks so pretty. Do they feed the fish to keep them near 5he pier? The old building looks like it was once an important building.
Robin - The squishy is adorable. The box loos like a handy carryall.
Pine cone - Welcome home. You were missed. Love the colors in the bookmark.
Ned - great country landscape This is my daughter quite a change from your normal seascapes and Rick formations.

#1 in a box - box of tissues. Sketched with pen on Strathmore DrawIng Pad.

We seem to have settled into a little routine so hoping to find some moments to actually draw. 🤞🏽

Keep sketching and learning
Fletch

Fletch, thanks so much for your comments about my recent sketches. I like your Kleenex box and the way you simplified the pattern. Hope your routine helps you find some more drawing time.

9 - found in a garden - watercolors

Ai, your KohKred sketch is amazing. Lovely story. You do the watercolor perfectly. Makes me hungry. Fun fish, nice gestures. Your old building is so good, don't know how you and Joan manage the posts free hand. Your lines on the motor bike are so good. You captured the feel of it.

Robin, so happy to see you. I love the squishy sheep and fun box.

Pine Cone same to you. Love the bookmark and the lively colors.

Hey Ned. The Longhorns have been fun and playing so well. I'm just getting used to all the new team members. Your calming sketch is great. I like your technique for the vegetation and fence and .... well all of it. Thanks for the photo.

Joan, look at your great sketches. The calming spot looks like "real" watercolor. Well done on the digi. Fun to see your friends in watercolor. The flowering tree scene is so well done. The vehicles on the dock are so fine!! Good find for garden. I really like the tulips.

Fletch, love the Kleenex box. Simple but the story is there. Hope you do find some moments. It gets a bit harder, eh? We get a schedule going and then......

I sketched a few days ago at PT with sketchbook and palette balanced on my knee. Number 1 used in your art - palette in watercolor and Ohuhu pen in the Ohuhu sketchbook.

Jo: Thanks so much ....yeah...you sketch my favorite travel wc palette; and the sketch is very nice... inspires me to try to find mine to use (lol... I have too many wc palettes laying around the house)

Joan: Thanks.... My express boat to Nonburi Pier, a tad shy of Koh Kred (Kred Island) is a mighty serious one like this . Gorgeous flower market... thanks for such a great spring vibe. Beautiful set of wheels by the ocean.

Ned: Thanks. My fish sketch was from a school of them swimming back and forth... they move fast though. I kind of like do (assume) their quick gestures. Love your calm house scene. I can see why it feels calming.

Fletch: Thanks. For the fish sketches; we don't feed this type of fishes... they roam freely in mightly Chaophraya river. Well there are many styles of food shops here. My friends and I just plan to go to the one with interesting food plates to sketch. Nice thinking and execution of a tissue box sketch.

Ai, love the sketch of the bike 🛵. They aren't seen as frequently here and they are by you. That boat you took to the island looks like a nice way to travel. Thanks for your comments.

Jo, thanks for commenting. I'm imagining you sitting with the palette balanced on your knee. I like the palettes that have the thumb holder for added security. lol Nice colorful look to your palette.

Ai, thanks. I forgot to take any art stuff to PT today so did puzzles on my phone. Lazy, I could have sketched on the phone. Sigh..

Joan, Oh my, anchovies. Reminds me of sardines. Your drawing is great though. (evil grin) The geese/ducks have graceful gestures. Hard to capture when on the move.

Maybe sketch tomorrow. Hi to all the rest!! Oh, we have had some lovely rain. Not enough to run water in the ponds but the ground is good and wet now so maybe next week we can get some run off.

Jo, sorry you missed the sketching opportunity at PT. The can of anchovies were bought for Jerry. I don't eat them. I hid the can so I could sketch it before he put it on his pizza. I couldn't pass up that colorful can. Rain down there sounds good. Hope it makes a dent in what you need.

Ai, I like the combination of the plants and the glass pieces at the cafe. That's a nice graceful look. It gives you something new to sketch. Our cafes are mostly part of a few chains so they never seem to look different.

#6 calming ...I love looking at glass pieces...cp and gray ink

Me and my art friends below ...the long cast shadow only showed up in late evening...nontheless, I love drawing at this cafe any time.
