Ai - what is it about old wooden boats that makes them such great subjects? The temple is a great contrast. The veggies and lantern is so well done. The composition and the colors are as inviting as the subject. Love the shrine painting. Neat digi especially the brush
Joan - a truly powerful sky. Am with Pine Cone, excellent composition on the poolside digi. Composition seems to have gotten my attention today. Love how the entire landscape draws the eye to the flag.the lobster looks real and yummy.
Pine Cone -from that sketch I would .say you are back artwise. The shading, the hatching, the line work all look perfect. The bark drawing looks like it belongs in an art textbook. Jade - Adorable! Love it!
Robin - After the travel comment was expecting something travel related like may suitcase or tickets
Pretty cp and ink sketch so much to balance in a composition but really well done.

Joan — I appreciate your comment, and it helps me to know it’s okay to continue with this re-learning approach, a bit at a time.
With your sunset sketch, I was speechless… the hints of sun mixing chaotically (truthfully) with the jumbled, natural movement of the clouds….. it’s an overpowering sketch in a sense. We are so small in the vastness of our sky, our storms, our universe. What a sketch…..
Also, fun poolside sketch - great composition and super relaxed feel
Glad you liked the little fella.

Robin, what a fun sketch! I like the pair of slippers and the toy duckies (I have 2). I like the little face in the opening of the animal house. Fun end table in there too. Your sketches are always such happy ones!
Fletch, thanks. I thought I might run out of space for the lady by the pool. Her feet came right to the edge of the screen. She almost lost a toe. lol The lobster was what Jerry wanted for Labor Day dinner, and he was able to twist my arm especially since I decided not to go up to Maine until my back is feeling better. I needed a bit of New England therapy.

Joan, thanks for doing this Hunt! Hope to take part. Your clouds are fantastic! The poolside digi is fun and well done. Love the landscape with the flag. Lobster fun!!! Good for you to have some and rest the back for another trip to Maine.
Ai, a lovely start. The fishery is great and photos to compliment your drawings. The dual page with the fruit, veggies, lovely bowl and super lamp/lantern is soooo good. Just beautiful. Robin: Glad to hear that you will be traveling. The cp set is a big happy splash of positivity. The composition is very nice, keeping my eyes exploring from your feet in comfy slippers and work up the hill of happiness, till my eyes reach the far pair of yellow ducklings. Have a good trip. The fade green view of windows, testifies that you have been surrounded indoor and outdoor with greens. I envy that organic healthy type of happiness.

Ai - I like how you can make something look so delicate using ink which has to be challenging.
Joan - WOW. Two beautiful watercolor paintings. The colors, the composition, the perspective…all excellent.
I have not been neglecting art. Looking at Jade’s pretty cp and than seeing another pretty cp by Robin I thought I would dust off my color pencils that I have not used in quite a while. That meant clearing off the desk in front of of the drawers where I have them stored. So spent yesterday cycling through the piles filing and tossing. Hopefully today I can actually start on drawing a cp apple.

Now we're in September heavy rain has hit us in the south of the UK, but looks like a few sunny days coming soon. Hope you had a good sketch Joan (look forward to saying hope you had a good sketch, Fletch too!

Joan - straightening out and organizing seems a prerequisite to going into your art supplies 
Jade - You seem to have knack for texture. Looking at grass, trees and deer in the first work than the soft feathery birdin the second

Well done on the organising your art supplies (I like doing that, do you?
) and wonderful apple 
drawing! It looks so soft and ready to eat. Great textures and light. Have you done a lot with cp's? It looks like it.
Thanks for your texture comment, I'm doing another little squirrel this evening and realising how much I like the slow, methodical work but you summed up what it is I like doing.. texture.
