Jo, I hope everything is cooked by now. I didn't have to cook anything new. Things just have to be warmed up.

I had some free time this afternoon so I went out to look for a view to sketch. My excuse was I needed to get gas for tomorrow. lol My new mobile studio got to be part of this sketch done along Main Street in Sayville. There were still people shopping, and many people stopping at the coffee place. I was also hoping to sketch before Mass started, but the church was so crowded I didn't even get a seat until midway through the service.

To give to my wife, I spent a couple days making a kinda silly matted framed print of a crab I drew for the hunt... the real gift is crab dinner New Year's Eve....

the day before yesterday evening I drew this for the hunt.
it's a box, I only drew the lid because it was the funniest part with the reindeer.

I took my afternoon to go sketching in the city, in Bangkok China town area called YaoWaRaj. Here are the results...

#4 sub. kitchen decoration with a cafe decoration of Santa balloon... climbing 2nd floor of the Cafe...

#5 sub. yard decoration ... with MooDeng, our world-famous baby hippo balloon, decorated the grand China town gate...

#6 X-bot ... a Transformer type character toy, made into a giant metal sculptor installed at the famous intersection of TaladNoi sub district, showcasing the metal and machine tool trade area of Chinatown. The small parts of the robot were from metal scrap parts of cars, motorcycles, machinery...etc.

Number 3 dog in my new Condo Sket ch Pad, 8 x 11 inches. Almost a full page with Ohuhu pens and Blick gray markers.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas Day, and all the Christmas greetings/paintings were gorgeous!

I'm in Arrowtown now on holiday, and so far our weather here has been warm and sunny, long may it continue! Ive lots of gardening to do over the next couple of weeks at our holiday cottage here, but hope to get some drawing and painting done too. Our little town has been very quiet so far, but is gradually filling up with all the thousands of holiday visitors who descend on it for the Summer New Year holiday Season.

Joan - Your outdoor landscape paintings are super. I am always in awe of you and your "outdoor studio"!
Ai - Love seeing your paintings of Thailand. Ive never been there, but feel as if I know it well after seeing your paintings of it!
Jo - Great drawing of the 2 dogs in their bed! They look so happy together.
