Robin - Thanks for new list. Hoping to get restarted drawing daily again.

Joan - Three very nice watercolor sketches. Like every other subject you have people down pat. Love going to Cracker Barrel and looking at all the old things on the wall.

Keep sketching
Fletch

Robin -- thanks for the list! You're right the last 9 days went by in a flash. We've been having sunny nice weather and I've been off somewhere every day walking or fishing... hardly been home at all.

Joan -- I like the purple and tan ( and tiny bit of rose for coca cola! ) on that last one. And :) I see you got breakfast at the hotel!

Robin: Thanks for the list.

Joan: What a fantastic group of sketches at Cracker barrel. All are great, but I love the banjo corner the most.

Robin - Thanks for the new list - where did the time go!
Joan - Wonderful on the "go" watercolor sketches!
Hi, Fletch, Jo, Ai, and Ned

Fletch, thanks. All that old stuff at Cracker Barrel is fun to look at and sketch. Jerry had a big dinner (fried catfish) but I had a small salad and that gave me time to do a sketch for the last hunt.

Jo, good to see you posting even if there are no sketches yet.

Ned, thanks. I'm glad I got a few things done from the hotel.

Ai, thanks. There were a lot of musical instruments hanging on the wall. They would all make good subjects.

Vivien, thanks. Hope to get some sketching done for here.

Nothing from me today. We drove about 5 hrs today and arrived near Atlanta around 2:00. Tried to check into the hotel but our room wasn't ready yet. We rode over to see my SIL and the family. Everyone was there...even my nephew who has been in South Korea teaching. Lots of talking and reminiscing. Then did dinner with a few more family members, some of whom I haven't seen in quite a while. Tomorrow is the service for Joe and then a big family get-together and dinner together. Some family will be leaving on Saturday morning for their homes in various places so we will have most of Friday together. Hopefully the next gathering won't be for a sad reason.

Hi to all. Wave and hug.

Joan, hope your day goes well. Nice all the family can get together and share the love. Safe travels home. Thinking of you...... Your travel sketches in the hotel and Cracker Barrel are sooooo good.

I hope to sketch. Gene has two therapy sessions today. Speech and PT. Would be nice if they came on different days to break the monotony for him. But he showered on his own today!! I will have more time as he can do more alone. Yay.

Ai, love the students. You can see the concentration. Hope you are feeling better.

Ai - Enjoy your sketches of students. You must be a tough teacher as they always look so intense and focused. 😎

#1 gift - The Platinum pen ( still no clue who sent it)
#2-blue - Desk tool
#3 closed - palette
Drew in pen (Used Lamy pen ) than added color with a water brush. Need to work on water brush skills 😊

Interesting thing: as I was testing pens I noticed that several of the fine nibs (Platinum and Noodler) are actually finer than the Lamy extra fine is.

Keep sketching

Ai, fun sketch of the students hard at work with the exams.

Jo, thanks. Glad to hear that Gene is becoming a little more independent.

Fletch, nice sketch of the pen, tool, and palette. I agree with you. I don't think that the Lamy extra fine nibs are really that fine.

Ai -- I don't know why but those students seem more serious/worried/stressed than usual... nice sketches.

Fletch -- Yay glad you sketched. I think the colors look great. Same as me today I used pen and waterbrush. My pen was just the uniball vision I carry with my pocket sketchbook.

#1 dirt with manzanita growing out of it ( and manzanita berries on the ground around it.. )

I love everyone’s sketches!

1. Something you eat every day - my breakfast is always a mandarin.

This is done on my iPad with Procreate. It took about an hour, I think.

Fletch, hey. Look at you doing ink and watercolor!! Fun and good job. Interesting thaat you don't know where the pen came from. I love your sketch.

Hi, Joan. Thanks.

Ned, Mmmmm, nice sketch of the manzanita. Nice job on the flow of the branches and hints of color.

JaneS, hi there and welcome. Great job on the mandarin. It does look good to eat!

I finally sketched on the footstool while Gene had PT. In the large Canson sketchbook almost a whole page with huhu pens.
Number 1, something I eat almost every day - rice cakes
Number 2, repeated design on the rug. It is brown, black, reddish and more...ha.

Joan - lovely breakfast bar sketches. Yep, that looks like cracker barrel....you must be an interesting phenomena in all these public settings. Glad you are having solid family visit. Condolances on the passing of your loved one.

Fletch - Wow,..nice ink and nice watercolor addition sketch.....here's hoping we can both get closer to daily sketching....even a doodle while on the phone would be welcome....but RL happens,,,, I have special attachment to my Lamy safari pen, It was one of my first and most reliable pens still.

JoC - Here's hoping we all catch a sketch or two ....Glad to hear Gene is getting around more.....Great detail, cleare & wwll carried forms with lots of values....solid feel to both of them. I like rice cake with plain tahini drizzled on.

NelL - envy that you are getting outside so much...fun sketch....great energy and strength in the manzanita limbs...

Ai - Hi - I know your art tools gather no moss!! great quick sketches - love'em....good example of squeezeing a sketch inbetween moments.....very inspiring...

Vivien - Hi...glad to see you here and looking forward to your sketches...

JaneS - greetings and welcome. Glad you stopped in. Super job on the mandarin orange,, Especially the leaf detail is exquisite.

Ned, I like your manzanita growing in the dirt! Nice touches of color.

Jane, nice Procreate sketch of the mandarin orange. Great color and texture.

Ai, good quick sketch in the hospital waiting room. I hope all is OK.

Robin, thank you for your thoughts and condolences. I paint with my pad in my lap, so it is rare that anyone notices what I am doing except for the waiter or waitress in a restaurant. That's quite a balancing act there!! Great filled drawer and love the back view of the sneakers.

I had a little time for sketching this morning. A lot of the family left today for home. We slept in and are going over to my SIL's in a little while. We leave to drive home tomorrow.

This was done in the breakfast room at the Hampton Inn.
4 - back of a lady - watercolors and ink
5 - something I drink every day (decaf coffee)
6 - repeated pattern on the cushions, chairs and drapes
