Scavenger Hunt from Life #138: Nov 19-27

Joan, thank you!
It's possible that I'll be painting this view  the next three months. Oh, well ... but thinking positively: maybe my snow scapes improve ... :sneaky:

Robin, very nice work on your ink painting! Looks beautiful! How come the tiny apple is on the top?
Thank you for your comment on mine .. I was hoping this year for not to have snow at all. There was one year sometime 2019 when we had absolutely no snow .. it's so cold 🥶 with snow.

Tone and I stopped at an art cafe today, everyone was trying to paint there..

#6 pinecones ...(2 of them...very tiny ) shown in the sketch

Grapes, I won't mind if you paint that scene out you window more than once. I appreciate the snow if we get it, but after a day I'm always ready for it to be gone. It looks pretty when it first falls, but then it gets messy looking.

Robin, your table with the cup and lamp look great. I've never seen an apple finial...nice!

Ai, the decorated bike looks so festive! Add a little lemon and any drink looks fun! I like that look. Fun spiral candles too.

This was painted in Port Jeff, a very hilly town a bit north of me. I was sitting on a steep street looking down toward the main street.

Joan: Thanks. Gorgeous deep down looking street scene. Everything came out so nice and charming.

Robin: Thanks. Wonderful loose airy feel to the pre-wash background... The ink+ markers combo are soothing and happy. Love the hints of small red apple, and the red bird on left like your birdy signature.

Grapes: Thanks... Beautiful oil piece. It is glowing with joy, cool air of happiness.

Hi everyone, thanks.

Grapes, mmm, such a nice scene out the window. Pretty and lovely painting. I like seeing the snow but you can keep it up north! Ha. That’s why we live where we do.

Robin, The decoration on the lamp is pumpkin like. Love the cup and saucer and the three legged table. Very nice…. Love the muted colors.

Ai, fun to have an art cafe. The bike with Christmas decorations is very pretty. Interesting drink in your cup and fun candles!!

Joan, your Port Jeff scene is great. You can see it going downhill. Good job!

I couldn’t find the pretty pine cones and had to scrounge some in the yard. They are more dried up and not very nice to look at. A quick pastel on MiTientes paper. About 6 x 8 inches.
Number 5 Pine cone

Thanks Ai and Jo!

Jo, you probably made the pine cones look better than IRL. They look great to me.

Joan, thanks. You were busy. I love the continuous line. I can't plan ahead! The battery and timepiece are so well done. Beautiful rocky scene. I like how you used a variety of media as well. Applause!!

Thanks, Jo. I had planned to go to the city yesterday, but didn't. That gave me some free time that I didn't expect to have. lol

Well disappeared for a few days but once more trying to back into a routine that includes art and exercise,
Lots of beautiful sketches and art work. Love all the Rubber Ducks!

Fletch, it is hard to get back into the routine once you stop. Glad you are enjoying the art work.

Goodness there is so much here! I guess I disappeared for a few days too.
The ducks are all great and Joan's artist duck made me laugh... of course she has one like that!
Back a bit later....

I sketched at the table with the great grands. They found rocks on the way to the playground by the lakes.
In the Canson large sketchbook with Duo Brush Pens and a Pilot Ball Point pen. I didn't have any rock colors except brown.

Number 6 rock

Ned, when I saw the artist duck I knew I had to have it. lol

Jo - Love the color rocks, The ink ones are nice but coir ones are more fun

Joa- Landscape looks like you finally got rain. Stands and windows sketch is nice. Curious did you use pen or brush for the wall?
,
Keep sketching
Fletch

Jo: So happy time with grands... those rocks are full of happiness. Thanks for sharing your precious time.

Joan: Super fresh air from the beach too and so warm and charming view of window display.

Fletch, thanks so much. Yes, we finally got some rain, but not enough for our drought conditions. We are expecting rain for the holiday too. The lines on the wall were done with watercolor. I wanted something a little more subtle than the ink.

Ai, like you, I'm always looking for something a little different to sketch. I like your fence and tree done in ballpoint. I very rarely use that for sketching, but I have friends that do wonderful detailed sketches in ballpoint.

Joan, thanks. Yes they sketched, you can see a bit of one in the photo. I think they messed up their sketches. They were fun. Your freespace is so "cool" looking. I want a jacket. The vegetable stand is so nice and the windows are amazing with reflections and all.

Thanks, Fletch. I didn't want to get out my good markers with earth colors. Ha. They have fun but attention span isn't long. Actually mine isn't either so we did well.

Ai, thank you. I love the fence and the green on the tree.

A couple more in the big book with watercolor, markers and Sharpie. They were so happy that they provided items for the Hunt. The rocks, wheels and pineapple were all the great grands. GGs2 and GGs4 Ha. I told Owen he was GGs4 and he said, "No, I'm 5 years old." So I said it was by age and Oliver was #1. "No, Oliver is 8!" So we went round and round. He figured my numbering method out quickly though and still kept arguing with me. Ha. He is the most curious one. Number 6 wheel - a little monster bat-mobile and Number 7 pumpkin or pineapple.
