Thank you Jade. As per painting groove I believe it is in the love of making art that rekindles the flame at the moment.

I admire your impressionistic style so much, Wayne. You describe the fruit with colorful strokes of paint and even the background has movement and energy. Gorgeous painting! I discovered a contemporary Russian impressionist recently and thought you might like to check out her work if you haven’t already seen it.

Thank you Donna. I have seen her works and the guy posting, Barry John Raybould, is a real fantastic painter as well. I have ordered marble dust to bulk up the paint. I should get it Monday. I tried just heavy body medium and it works but I think I can get more out of the medium plus the dust. I will let you know how that works. I agree about the impressionistic side and my landscapes are not as impressionistic as I want so I will put due diligence on that aspect.

Thank you Bart. I am using move vivid color but still muted as I can't say I enjoy intensity.

You have come back with a bang, Wayne. I wonder if you had the pressure of using prime materials you would tighten up? I just think it is a shame that you are making master pieces on paper.

Thank you. Not sure I'd call them masterpieces but some are good. It's an expense I can do without and I'm too dang old to get into the selling game as the interest is not there.
Perhaps I should buy a roll of canvass and not stretch it or put it on panels .. not sure that would work ..

Lovely warm colors in this one!

Do you use regular paper, or canvas papers? There's some decent canvas-textured papers out there that are quite thick and feel a little more sturdy. Fairly cheap too. I used to buy them to practice on.

Thank you. I use Canson oil and acrylic pads. They are supposed to be archival. Found them real good for oil but they buckle with acrylic but again if I flatten them with a weight they straighten out. 290 g
