My Most Famous Moments

2006. I am a Security Officer, Heathrow, Terminal 1, Flight Connections, on an
early shift and I see John McEnroe coming through.

"Good morning Mr McEnroe" I say....
No response, no reply, no eye contact from him.

As he leaves the security point I try again....
"Have a good onward flight, Mr McEnroe". Again, no response from him at all.

30 minutes later, on my break I say to a colleague that McEnroe came through and
as polite as I was, he didn't respond At All.

My colleague tells me ...."That was Jimmy Connors".......!

Lewis Hamilton came through Airport Security with his comfort dog Roscoe (being
a nervous flyer himself) and my wife asked him...jokingly....'where does Roscoe
sit when you are racing'?......heh heh......??

Straight faced he replied.....'...in the motorhome...'!

I am a Security Officer at Heathrow on the Archway, the metal detector, when
the Swedish model Victoria Silverstedt walks through it and it beeps, selecting
her for a body search.

I had seen her in the queue, magnificient blonde head of hair way above the others
and I remember saying to myself....'don't stare.....it's rude, don't stare...'

She walks through the Archway and it beeps, selecting her for a search.
She turns and looks me in the eyes ..then says....'ok, just do me'..!!!!

My parents seemed to run into, and have drinks or something with, celebs. My husband saw a lot of them, not me, working in the same city. For instance, he accidentally got up close to Pope John Paul II, and he isn't Catholic. I have met JFK (tyke, parents were campaign workers), John Mellencamp at an impromtu concert in Philly, Ray Davies after a concert at the wonderful and fabulous Tower Theater, and Al Stewert after a concert a few years back.

I DO have lots of celebrity clients. But I don't kiss and tell, and that's one reason they buy from me more than once.
Sometimes I see the dog I painted in a magazine with their famous "owner".

I hear you on the no kissing and telling thing. I have some celeb collectors too and some don't mind being identified, but some do. That's so great that some of yours have been published in magazines with your work. That's wonderful, celebrity or not! :)
