One thing about winter is the many different little gems you find hidden in the hills and valleys. Even the old dead leaves take on a different light on a bright snow day.

Wayne, I could look at winter scenes like this all day. The contrasts, added sense of warmth you do so well and of course the shadows defining the undercuts, valleys and rifts of snow just give this such an added dimension. Oh and I have to mention that gorgeous sky that just balances out this piece so well.
Nice!!!
( All the best to you and your family over the holidays my friend. ) :)

A few sunlit leaves against the quiet neutrals of the trees are all it takes to make me appreciate the beauty of the season. Beautiful piece, Wayne.

Thank you John for the well written observance of the piece. Younhane my hopes for a good one for you and yours.

Thanks Ayin. Technique is a cover for coverable mistakes and good art is a geniuous way of covering ones tracks.

Thank you Donna. Yes, the smell of the rose by far out weighs the accidental sting of a thorn.
