Leather Gloves

This is inspired by a reference from Morguefile.

I worked in Digital Oils in Artrage Vitae. The size I work in is 4200x3300.

I start with a freehand sketch in digital pencil and then switch to oils. I usually work in several layers, working front to back so the first item I painted was the top glove, then the bottom glove, then the background, each on their own layer.

Thanks for your comments.

The gloves themselves were made of leather. I think the bottom one reads a little better than the top one which is a little more rounded looking than it should be. I learn with each painting. Sometimes I find specific textures challenging but I have fun trying.
