The FIRST of a series of 2minute videos on YouTube showcasing some of my street photography.

Street photographer BONGO captures life on the streets of Seattle, 1/250 of a second at a time. Focusing on candid expressions and gestures, "In a Blistered Blink" is a series of 2-minute videos featuring Bongo's street photos from 2005 to 2008.
If you have a chance I'd be honored if you watch it. Let me know what you think of the production, how I could improve on it, etc...

This is so well done, Bongo. I like how you featured single people as well as groups of people and I was fascinated by the interaction between the people in the groups. The photos feel honest; not staged and give an honest impression of life on the streets in your city. How did most people react to having their photos taken? I look forward to the next installment in this series!

Thank you Donna. No one reacted to me taking their photos because it was all candid; they never knew they were being photographed, which is the whole point of Street Photography. Some photos show people looking at me - they saw me, but didn't realize the camera - on my hip - was taking their photo. I never say a word, no conversations, no interactions - just keep on walking.

The "In a Blistered Blink" series will have about 12 installments. I'm putting the finishing touches on 4 of them now.

Cool! You literally shoot from the hip. In an age where so many are obsessed with taking selfies it's nice to see real, unrehearsed expressions.

thanks Joe, I have another one up and more coming. Much appreciate your stopping by

Bongo, will you be displaying these videos in some kind of art/photography venue when you finish the series? They are so good and I hope you have plans to exhibit them somehow.

Thanks Donna. Nothing planned, I'll see what comes around.

So they're posted on YouTube, but I've got it all screwed up - Since the title is "In A Blistered Blink" they come up along with blisteres, bed sores, pimples --etc.. instead of street photography

Love this! It looks like it was shot in the 70's with the grainy-ness of the image. I love people watching and these make me think- what is going on here? Can't wait to see more!

thanks Snow!
Very well done, and quite interesting to watch. ❤️
thank you Sno -

Wayne - it does suck. What I'm learning is that the name of your "channel" and the name of the video you put on your channel should be different. That way you can post without it going all over YouTube based on the name of the video.

SO "the blistered blink" is the name of the video. I need something like "Seattle street photography" for a channel name to get it back where it belongs. Channel names DO NOT have to be unique - there are already several "Seattle street photography" channels so I want to think of something different, not to confuse with them

Thanks bethany - the photos were shot between 2005 -2008. The reason it looks more "70's and grainy" is because the digital cameras at the time were low-res and used CCD sensors -vs high-res and CMOS sensors that are used in cameras today.

So "in a blistered blink" one and two are out, three coming soon.
