The FIRST of a series of 2minute videos on YouTube showcasing some of my street photography.

Street photographer BONGO captures life on the streets of Seattle, 1/250 of a second at a time. Focusing on candid expressions and gestures, "In a Blistered Blink" is a series of 2-minute videos featuring Bongo's street photos from 2005 to 2008.
If you have a chance I'd be honored if you watch it. Let me know what you think of the production, how I could improve on it, etc...

This is so well done, Bongo. I like how you featured single people as well as groups of people and I was fascinated by the interaction between the people in the groups. The photos feel honest; not staged and give an honest impression of life on the streets in your city. How did most people react to having their photos taken? I look forward to the next installment in this series!

Thank you Donna. No one reacted to me taking their photos because it was all candid; they never knew they were being photographed, which is the whole point of Street Photography. Some photos show people looking at me - they saw me, but didn't realize the camera - on my hip - was taking their photo. I never say a word, no conversations, no interactions - just keep on walking.

The "In a Blistered Blink" series will have about 12 installments. I'm putting the finishing touches on 4 of them now.

Cool! You literally shoot from the hip. In an age where so many are obsessed with taking selfies it's nice to see real, unrehearsed expressions.

Bongo, will you be displaying these videos in some kind of art/photography venue when you finish the series? They are so good and I hope you have plans to exhibit them somehow.

Thanks Donna. Nothing planned, I'll see what comes around.

So they're posted on YouTube, but I've got it all screwed up - Since the title is "In A Blistered Blink" they come up along with blisteres, bed sores, pimples --etc.. instead of street photography
