Hello everyone, my name is Andy and I am a traditional artist from England. I am by no means a professional, and I do not intend on becoming one. I am here to have discussions with other artists, particularly other hobbyists.

I have been drawing for roughly fifteen years now, with a particular focus on character design. I have been active on multiple platforms but nothing has felt right, especially for discussions as opposed to just posting work.

Thank you. The topics that interest me most are ones about practising new techniques and experimenting with new materials. I only work in coloured pencil right now, but I'm looking to branch out to other dry mediums, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You could try with charcoal, sanguine, chalks, pastes... there are so many.

Or you could try with watercolor pencils as a first step to experiment an altogether different dimension.
