In 2004 I searched the Internet for plans, but was not too happy with any of them. So I picked what I liked from them and came up with my own.
It is mainly made from cheap building frame timber. Has ajustable height and lean. Moves around on wheels and they can be locked into place.

Very nice.
I've wanted to build my own but my shops been in an unusable state for years.
Is it just for adgestments or does that bottom of that easel fold up?

That is wonderful and certainly should accommodate any size painting you could fit into the room.

Yes, it can be folded up and the whole easel taken out the front door.

I always make sure that whatever I create, in a large size, that it can fit through the exit door.
For smaller work, such as on paper, I have a drawing board that takes the place of a framed canvas. I used this when I do fast charcoal sketches.

I found a photo of my first easel. It too was placed in my lounge room.
I relocated after loosing everything in a fire. The first things I bought can be seen in the photo.
