Higginbothams, Chennai

Towards the end of my workday today I felt the urge to sketch something... anything... but unfortunately I did not have any of my usual pens with me. I therefore used a chisel marker to make this approximately 6" x 5" sketch in about 15 to 20 minutes.

Higginbothams is the oldest bookstore still in existence in India. It is 175 years old.

Great work. It is not at all easy to sketch small size with such thick markers!

I tried to add some light watercolour washes to this sketch but found that, unfortunately, the ink in this chisel marker is not waterproof. Most of the pens that I use have waterproof ink and therefore I had not checked this one out.
