I'm Sal from Bengkalis, Indonesia.
I'm doing both traditional and digital arts.
I make oil paintings, designs, illustrations, and animations for a living.

However, as an artist from a rural area with limited access,
my access to create art is limited because it is very difficult to get supplies and equipment,
let alone clients and customers.

So I'm now using all means to build connections.
It's truly a hell for creative people, coupled with the rise of AI in this era.
Makes me wonder, is it time for me to give up in arts.

When I first joined, I immediately sold myself like this: I want to be your Private 2D Artist

But I just realized that this is a forum for fellow creative workers. So I'm barking up the wrong tree.
But I'm quite interested in building something here.
So, friends, please continue to guide me in the future.

When I first joined, I also immediately asked this question instead of introducing myself: Best country to be an artist?

Then @Triduana reminded me. I'm really sorry about that.
I'm just panicking because since deciding to become a full-time artist after covid, until now I'm still just running in place.

Welcome! As you have seen, this is more a site of artists supporting each other in our joys and troubles, helping each other to grow as artists.

Personally, I'm not too worried about AI, because I see it as similar to prints of fine artworks that can be bought and displayed in your house. It's the difference between handmade furniture and mass-produced plastic chairs!
