This painting had a lot of first.
It had been quite a while since I had drawn/painted more than one person.
And I don’t think have ever done a gouache painting this big.
It’s 9,4x 12,6 inches (24x32cm)
It’s also the first painting I have done using this paper, that i actually kind of like.

Alongside the gouache I also used some metallic watercolors.
I used no reference

I’m open for criticism

Forgot to add, if you have any questions about this painting I’m happy to answer them

Nothing I can see looks wrong or off- well done- especially for two figures- they do not ping-pong the eyes.

I like it- well done!

It's absolutely wonderful, Flowercat! I love the faces and postures.

What kind of paper is this that you're liking?

I think I mentioned it wrong, but I actually don’t like that paper at all. It’s more thirsty than a person who is lost in the desert. And the colors are always dull
I never had a painting turn out decent on it, until this time.
It’s the Hahnemühle , Mixed Media Universalblock 310g Watercolor , Gouache Acrylic one.

How wonderful this is! I love how you were able to make different textures in the hair and the clothing. That is super notable. I really love your style. ♥️

I'm glad Terri asked about the paper. I actually love that paper, but it's expensive. Do you ever work on Arches?

I never have tried Arches. Is is just too expensive for me right now.
I got this paper as a gift, I personally don’t spend much on art supplies.
