This was from a challenge at wetcanvas by Dewi.

I started with a rough pencil sketch, then inked the sketch. I added values using water-soluble graphite. This is done in my 6"x8" Stillman & Birn Alpha sketchbook.

I couldn't decide where this would go if I were going to post by media. Is it ink and wash? Water media? Mixed Media? At least I knew where to post by subject.

Thanks Wayne and Donna. This is a wonderful medium for sketching.

I played with it in the past on watercolor cold press paper and had trouble getting it to dissolve but when I tried it on this multimedia paper that has just a light texture, it worked much better.
