Rusty Lock

This is about 5"x5" in XL Mixed Media sketchbook. I have been enjoying experimenting with subjects that aren't usually done in pen and ink.

I may decide to add color to this. If so, I'll post that in the water media forum with a link from here.

Good one, Anne! I agree with Donna - very hard to capture the textures of rust and wood grain without colors, but you've done it here! I love your jagged little lines and shadowing.

Interesting subject, and nicely sketched. I am glad that you have mentioned the size of your sketch. When viewed at that size, your sketch is so much nicer than at the size at which it is automatically displayed on my computer screen.
