Do you love Creative Spark?

I used to be a regular on Wet Canvas until they changed the forum platform, now I rarely go there. There's another artist forum I visit on a regular basis, it could be an alternative for everyone if things don't work out here. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post a link to it.

Invitations to return to Wet Blanket aside, there is interest in this forum continuing. I hope it comes to pass and everyone can continue to enjoy participating in an independently owned and operated forum.

If any of you were around in the early days of the internet, you remember that it was about freedom of information, discovery, and a bit of chaos. It turned into a business, but that's what rich people will do: take your creations and sell them back to you.

Creative Spark isn't for sale. Ayin is giving it to someone. No strings, no cash, no stock options or cryptocurrency futures. Ya dig? Cool.

Beautiful words from a beautiful person ❤️‍🩹

I’m filled with gratitude for what has become my safe haven, Creative Spark, designed by Hannah and Ayin to nourish hearts and souls. This is the one place where I’ve always felt safe in a world so often gone harsh ☀️❤️‍🩹☀️

Hannah and Ayin, you have chosen to nourish the lives and paths of hundreds of living souls for so long now…… how can I ever express my gratitude to you both for all you’ve done for me??? 😌😍😌

Thank you again Hannah and Ayin. May this place continue as a place of friendship and peace and creativity 🙏🎨🎨🙏

Yes, fingers crossed 🤞 🤞 🤞 it seems to me that this is the general feeling. I have been lucky enough to land here as my first art forum. Ayin was also one of the first welcoming people I encountered and her continued generosity and community minded spirit doesn't surprise me. 🙏 Though it is indeed a rare thing to encounter. Thank you both. ❤️
Ps i am glad there's options for most of us if it doesn't work out but have everything crossed. 🤞
Yes, fingers crossed that Creative spark does continue. It's been such a great place for
all of us.

Just so you know, Doug/Yorky banned Ayin from Wet Blanket for sending a private message to another user letting them know that they created this forum and inviting them over.

He banned Ayin for a private message. Connect those dots. He read (reads) the private messages.

So go back there, have fun. Just don't say anything in "private" that you don't want him to read.

Oh my.
Well, I can see why the auto dictate and AutoCorrect may not be responsible for the Wet blanket.
So I had forgotten all about this. Now that I think about it, I think Ayin had mentioned it once at the very beginning. She was very careful and discreet. I thought it was because he didn’t like her luring other people away from their failing website. I had no idea there was a privacy breach like that. Wow.
To be honest, I never thought about administrators going in and looking at people’s private messages. I just thought they wouldn’t have the time and hopefully not the inclination.
Huh. 😮😕
That doesn’t make me feel good.
That is so disappointing and concerning.
I’ve met the man!🙁

Just in the name of Truth... I post on WC but visit CS sometimes...
Moderators did not have to read the private messages, I believe they have enough work to do without that, just like the owners of CS. Some WC members got private messages with invitations from Ayin, who assumed they remembered her, while they did not. They considered that to be a spam and complained. I got a message from St Luke, but by that time I was aware of CS and him active here, so it was totally fine.
So once again, please do not blame Doug, the ban was a reaction to active complains, and it was probably not him anyway. He does a terrific job, just as Ayin and Hannah.

I'm sorry to hear that you are finding it difficult to continue the forum. Many of your members are past members of wetcanvas and may I remind you that we survived the move to Golden Peak and soldier on. I would be pleased to see many old friends reappear on wetcanvas should they need a new home.
Doug (Yorky)

Oh, that makes me feel better Ilya. I can see how that could’ve happened. Doug always seemed to be good to deal with and was very dedicated to the site. I know there was a bit of a stir over there at the time, but we heard different things obviously and likely we didn’t hear the full story. It’s so easy to misinterpret even when you’re inside a situation.

That's would be pity. I just stuck my nose in here again, looking to participate more again (have been in a bit of an art slump lately).
I hope a solution will be found to keep the site going.
