It would likely improve my general mood if I did, too, but I already do so much online. After I posted, I remembered that I am to see Hato Caves in Curaçao next month on holiday, which has bats. Bats, snakes and other animals that scare so many are as interesting to me as any other life form. We've had a few bats in the house that we have had to let outside, and one in our office when working many years ago.

I know what you mean, it's good to get offline. I find the cuties help my mood too (and anti depressants! ) and are good research for drawings. I looked up Curaçao, looks like an interesting place, enjoy the bats! You sound like you've known a few. I'm just finishing up a drawing of some baby bats inspired by that video.

I think, Wayne might be partially correct.
I just heard that in the park called Parque Maria Luisa in Seville there're bats so big that they eat birds! Researchers set cameras on these bats and for their surprise, big bats captured and ate birds!

Besides, @Jade these big bats go as high as 1 kilometer altitude to get the birds when they fly in groups. I thought bats only fly from one tree to another. Surprising stuff one learns all of sudden.

Oh, I've today abandoned Christmas and returned to Halloween and bats. I already drew them (I draw with thin oil paint and tiny brush) in that still life and still life seems much more interesting with them in. I paint slow, so it takes time. One of these days I finish everything.
