Cars

Yeah that is very, very nice, as luxury cars of that era with runningboards tend to be. Cool two tone!

My dad had an MG TD.

His best friend had an Austin Healey 3000 Mark III

My brother used to work on old MGs. Had them all over the yard! Drove us crazy. But that was how I originally got into British cars. The Triumphs.

Yep, but they were singin' about the 427. Both great looking cars. A friend of a friend had a 427 and I got a ride in it. Jesus, that thing would slam you back in your seat. Zero to sixty in four seconds.

I don't remember the name of the group... usually I do. So, let's look it up... hmmm. The Rip Chords.

Never would have remembered. Very cute name.

There was a band in my high school called the Chordovans. Collegiates, as we called those kids, with their cordovan Bass Weejun penny loafers, white Levis, madras shirts with a froot loop on the back and gold-filled Speidel Twist-o-Flex ID bracelets.
