Candle.

This is my 3rd candle painting. First one was following a tutorial and then I made a second copy for a friend. This ones done with a different reference picture.
4 1/2” x 6” on canvas paper.

Anything it still needs before taking it off the easel?

Great light achieved. I suppose you could soften the edge of the light and make the light fade a little more gradually, but that would be tricky!

Thanks Bizzibee. I agree with you on the shading. I should have blended the background into the light. but both are dry now and I'm aftraid of messing things up if I try.
