Hi folks. From a photo of the sunsets we sometimes get here. I thought it was going to be easy.... Well, mostly Rembrandt's with a few small touches of senneliers on sanded Sennelier card, 2.5x3.5 inches. I didn't maybe sand enough. The photo catches the pastel texture far more than is apparent on the actual. The blending is much smoother. The blues are a bit dull and the pinks overdone, but it's the best shot I can get.
Yes, size is an issue, but it made me really try to blend but keep the feeling of the huge high thin clouds.

It's very well done, Murray- you got that mango-y pink that's touched with orange and the blue, and it didn't go to a weird brown-green where they touch- ALWAYS a plus.

This, too, may be one to consider doing bigger.

Beautiful and soft. So nicely done.
I photograph my pastels in direct sunlight. The colors require very little manipulation to post or print that way.
