need to have some tipps & ideas. i want to get some nice looking combination of background and fore-ground

has 6 colors, which are Persian Indigo (#2D1D7A), Imperial (#573170), Deep Ruby (#804565), Middle Red Purple (#AA585B), Copper Red (#D36C50) and Mango Tango (#FD8046). well i would say that we can RGB /& the CMYK Values take over into GIMP or Krita or Inkscape!

.....well some musings while i am currently drawing the Image for a wesite consisting of visualization of a network (konsisting of dots that are linked) - all that is drawn on a Gradient Background (see above)

i have tried to make up my mind - and i have read a dozen of theory-pages and wikipedia-sites:

hmmm - regarding the **Color-Sheme:** generally spoken: i guess that the best choice of colours, gradients and dot combinations really depends on the idea, the goal and hmm - lets say the purpose of the Project: So i guess that we can say subsequently: different goals and contexts call for different moods, thoughts, emotions, sensual feelings, ideas and subsequently messages:

**theoretically spoken**: it depents: We can say that it depends from the project goals: so we need to understanding the project’s target audience: then we could talk more about the emotions we want to convey and the overall style.
to sume up: Each and every color evokes an emotional reaction from the person who viewing the color. So, if we have got a list of different colors then we also have a whole list of the physiological responses associated.


I’ve been looking at options on various ressources and sites in the net – but before locking in a direction, I thought: Why not ask the colour experts here? Really curious to see your takes – whether that’s based on harmony theory, design practice, or just gut feeling.

My feeling is that making art is a personal, subjective process, so you should try a few different schemes and choose the one YOU think looks the best.

Your thoughts and suggestions are – clear, inspiring, and right on point.


i guess that ill have to do some tests - and a perhaps i should create somehing like a "mood board" - that helps me to generate ideas and find a direction - a way to go ( digitally of course ): With that process i could collect images in which i like the colors and things alike - interesting scenes, parts i want to include in into the image, and so on. That said i think that i have to try out several techniques - technique and processes that might also be helpful.


that said - i just have had a closer view on the bokeh things: i just created some bokeh visualizations with the python library.

well i like this very much - and i think that this can be a nice and interesting starting point.
perhaps i have to generate some more bokeh graphics - which i can use
